In an outer borough of New York City, two apartments in a pre-war building were joined to create this bright and airy space. We maximized the square footage by removing the wall that separated the apartments. The result was an open floor plan with distinct zones for cooking, dining and sleeping. The home is outfitted with midcentury-style furnishings accompanied by boldly colored accents to liven the primarily neutral décor.
